Bemused

Ok so we're all starting to get really excited about our trip to the Dominican. I've already started making up a list of things to bring and people who I want to bring things back for. I also went to the doctor's to get the twinrx shot for Hep A & B so that I don't get sick. Anyway, the doctor wasn't sure if I'd already had it so that meant blood tests. Oh yay! Two days ago I got a call saying "Um yeah turns out you do need the shot so just come on in to the clinic and we'll get you all set up." GREAT, more needles! (note the sarcasm)

So this morning I drag myself down to the clinic so they can stick me with a needle once again but first the doctor sees me and we chat (I complain), and lo and behold her decision is to dun dun dunnnnn.....DO MORE BLOOD TESTS!!!! Gee and I thought I was going to be pin hole free. My wonderful little doctor has decided to test triglycerids, insulin, hematocrit, creatinine, hormones amongst a plethera of other unpronoucables but the kicker is I HAVE TO FIND MY OWN LAB TO DO IT! Apparently, when they spin the blood at this clinic they aren't able to test potassium levels because it doesn't show up, so I have to find another lab to do it for me.

WHOOP-DEE-DO!!! I'm not too worried about my potassium levels, if they are low I'll eat a banana, if they are too high I'll stop eating bananas! Is it really all that important? ARGH!!
Anyway, it looks like I'll be fasting tonight so that tomorrow morning I can drag my ass down to the lab for 7:30 get the stupid work done then shuffle off to work for 9:30 (that is of course after I stop at Tim Horton's and stuff myself with food and coffee).

Doctors are mean and needles hurt.
